OK....I have owned five 2000S heads over the years. I recently sold one of my remaining three, the earlier one that did not have a boost switch. While spraying the pots and cleaning everything up before boxing it up, I realized that the cabinet was a different size from any of my other large-size SUNN heads I have (2000S, 1000S, 1200S, etc.) It was the same width but the height was about a half-inch higher. I tried to fit the front grill onto any of the others and it was way too big...putting one of the other amp's grill onto the big one left a space at the top.
So....has anyone else run into this? Were the earlier first-year larger heads a slightly taller size or did I happen to have a freak one? It was definitley the original correct cabinet and even had the original tube chart still glued on the inside.
