I've never seen one of these before.  Doesn't look at all familiar.  Then again, I am a bit of a n00b.

that's one of sunn's early amps....before they went to their standard model heads..maybe late 65 66...it should have a smily face on the logo plate...

Ok, so I may be wrong, because the heads in this thread aren't quite the same.  Looks to be the same era of the company, however.

Thanks for the info.  I think I've seen maybe one of the smiley amps.  I was really tempted to try to nab that one just cause, but since I was on the hunt to find a cabinet to go with my 2000s, I had to prioritize.  I finally got a nice 1 x 15 Sunn cab ('68?)though and man am I stoked with the sound!  Too bad somebody swiped the original speaker, but the EV that's in there still sounds nice.
