Advice For A Newbie

Opinion on this amp? I don't know whether to buy it or not as I come from New Zealand and am a tad paranoid about where my cash is going to go. I'm desperate since I can't find any Sunn amps at all in NZ. Why did they have to stop producing these godly amps?!?!

I can't really speak to the Beta Bass, but IMO the Beta Lead is one of the warmest sounding solid-state amps I've ever heard.  Most of the shows I gig with my band at least one person asks about what kind of tubes I use or something of the sort.  Whether something sounds great or like crap is a very personal opinion.

I agree with Rick, I think my S.S. Concert Bass sounds great,I don't know if the Beta is the same circutry but it does have a more versatile face especially if you are using two instruments live.
