The Sunn 115BH

Would they sound better loaded with a JBL D140f? A Peavey Black Widow? The Magna? It'll be matched up with an amp very very similar to a 2000s.

Let's discuss!

It's a rather odd design.

I've never played through one, so I can't say how they sound. 'Better' is, of course, a personal opinion. A d140 might sound better to you, a Magna better to someone else.

I have a 115BH and the D series JBL's don't fit. The frame edge is too deep for my cabinet. I had a JBL M 115 in it and it was nice. I have an old Utah in mine now. It sounds good...noticibly quiter...the Utah is not as efficient as a JBL, even the M's

Look for the best value, Black Widows are fine speakers....as are so many these days. I don't think the Magna would handle the power, not with 120 watts, the original speaker was a Magna and it handled 80 watts.
