15" cab needs a new speaker what shall i do?

it has a Altec 421A 15" bass speaker in it at this moment in time which is on its way out and they're pretty hard to get reconned etc if you live outside the US so i was wondering what would be a good replacement

I can't recommend these enough. I replaced a pair of old 418B's in a 261 cab, and they are really impressive.

They state international shipping. They also sell on eBay, but buying through the website is cheaper (about 1/2 the cost of shipping).

You may want to try Great Plains Audio.They are supposedly ex Altec Lansing employees.I was able to pick up two 4218H recone kits after years of searching.

would the one you stated be an accurate fit i was told i need to find something thats almost the same dimensions or run the risk of just having that speaker destroy itself if this isn't the case i may invest in something like those

You can buy a used good 421A for less than the cost to recone one. Be aware that the early ones had to be back mounted. There were small ribs behind the rim which prevented front mounting. The 421 series are wonderful speakers and nicly suited to guitar, IMHO. I like them for bass as well.
