two channels at once. possible?

Hey all.  I was playing a two channel concert lead the other day and got to wondering if you can run through both channels with one instrument by running into say, the bright input on channel 1 and connecting a cable from the normal input to one of the inputs on ch.2, like a marshall super lead.

Since I didn't know for sure, I wasn't about to start plugging away.


btw, I found that if you are playing on ch.1, which is the distortion channel, and crank everything on the reverb channel you get a nice reverb tail to the note.

The only issue or concern is that the two channels are out of phase with each other.

I use an a-b switcher between the channels, one or the other to avoid the phase difference. I've found the distort and boost are way too much volume wise to switch on their own, but maybe that's just me.

Yes, if you turn the reverb up (you can leave the vol and tone controls at zero) and play only through the distort channel you can get some reverb. The channels are only resistively isolated and there will be some bleed through.
