A silver logo? Where does it say it's manufactured?  Those cabs should have the logo plate with 'sunn' in white, and the 'O)))' in red.  Everything else sounds right, as far as I can tell.  There isn't a whole lot of info that I've found, but if you have some questions, I can try to answer them.

My bad "xsolarusx".  :-(  I was looking at the plate on the back of the cab when I said silver logo.  Indeed, the one on the front is as you described.  I'm trying to get an idea of when this cab was made and the brand of speakers.  I've pulled another 12 out and it's numbers are identical to the ones I referenced in my first post.  The info I posted about Transducer through part number are on a sticker on the magnet.  There are 2 other numbers that appear to be ink stamped on the frame.  One is 0126 08 540.  The other is 9 78.  Nowhere on the cab does it have where it was made, just the ohm rating through serial number on the plate on the rear as posted.  I've looked at the speaker identification site, but don't see any numbers that come close to any of these.  Maybe 9 78 is  September 1978???   Thanks for the help!  :-)

The speaker is the same as the one's in mine, however the cabinet is at my space, so I can't really check out it til tomorrow.

I'll see what I can find, in terms of possible dating numbers.  It seems likely that 78 would be a year they were produced.

I've wondered a lot of the same things about my cabinet, but it doesn't seem like a lot of people own or know them.  Sad, since it's so damn light!

Oops!  I totally thought you were referencing the frame of the cabinet itself.  I was looking at the speaker, and saw the ink-stamped codes.

Mine reads: 0126 08 504, and 4 78

So, I would dare say late 70's(in this case, my cabinet just turned 30!  Any chance Hallmark makes cards for this?), but I don't know.  I can check my beta lead to see if the same ink-stamping might be on it, as it's made from the same period, in the same style(red sun logo).

Hope that helped!

So we have the same speakers with yours being apparently just a little older.  BTW, Hallmark was busy making a movie or something so no cards.  :-D   I would sure like to know the maker of the speaker.  You are again correct about the cab being light, actually "top heavy" balance wise as I'm sure you've turned or nearly turned yours over when rolling.  One other question.  Is there a time line for the change from the silver logo to red or vice versa?

Don't know if you've ever tried, but this cab works surprisingly good for bass too, especially with a fairly high output head.

Top heavy is a perfect term. I should take a look into it and see what the deal is. Otherwise, great for shows, since it's so light for transporting.  When I first bought it, I thought I'd just gotten stronger. ;p
