I've got an old 200S that I'm trying to get back in working order, but have run into a few problems. First, the OT is bad and I can't really seem to find much info regarding the transformer. From what I can gather it is a Sunn part (3-60T) so probably no longer in production. I seem to have run across a few clones on the net, but the costs are a little too pricey. I ran across another post on here where someone had found a Hammond 1650p with the same output ratings as the 3-60T. Does anyone know anything about whether the Hammond is compatible with the Sunn? And if so, will it have an affect on the sound? I guess I could always have the original rewound, but it's my understanding that rewinding isn't necessarily always a cheap option either. So I was hoping to find a comparable tranny and possibly save myself some $$ if possible.
Another question is that the amp is missing a few caps and resistors. While most of the components are still readily available, there are two caps that I can't seem to find. A 750 PF 1KV and a .0075 uF @ 600v. Any suggestions as to where I could maybe find these or a possible substitute?
