transformer leads 2000s
« on: September 26, 2008, 07:58:31 am »
Hey all,
I just got my 2000s transformers back from rewinding.  The power transformer was blown so I had that one rewound and the output was fine so I left it.  In shipping the leads on the power transformer got cut.  The mounting flange and the weight of the transformer just sliced through.  Can I just solder and shrink rap the leads back together?  Let me know.
thanks

Hi there, yes that will work for you.Too bad they didn't tape up the leads when they shipped it.Just make sure the wires are dressed properly and it'll be fine.Good luck Mel.

Thanks for the reply Mel.  I hate to give the guy a bad rating because other than that he did a beautiful job.  Like you said, wish he would have taped up the ends.
