Difference between 6x12 angles speakers and non angled?
« on: December 06, 2008, 03:39:48 pm »
Sunn made 2 different versions right?
If so are the dimensions the same? Looks like Sunn just made a bunch of the same dimensioned cabs and then put different size speakers and such into them.
As of right now I would prefer a straight (non angled) 6x12 but any reason of why I would want the angled one more?

The angled one is a 612S 42.5"H 24"W 15"D rated at 400W. What I think you have is a 1200S cabinet (no separate model name for the cab) that's 48"H 30"W 15"D. No power rating on the cab but probably less than 300W.

the 612s actually handles 350watts, but what matters is that it's loud. :)

Ohh, if I were running two angled 612S cabinets, would there be any phasing issues?  I'd like to have them both going, but figured I'd ask for advice.

Ok so the non angled is bigger but less wattage. Gotcha.

Jesus, the 1200S cabinet is a monster.  The 612S' are big enough!
