Maybe he was using 100S amps with the contour control and no reverb or tremelo. Someone said recently that you could order them wither way. Of course Sunn did stuff a bigger transformer and 2 extra tubes in the 200S amp while they were prototyping the 2000S. So...... if it is a 200S with extra tubes and larger iron, is it a 200S or a 2000S?

Or is it a 100S?

Having known Felix and seeing his stage set up I can tell you how the cabs were stacked. Actually they were braced together by two flat aluminum bars from the bottom cab to the top cab with large round thumb screws that screwed through the bar into an insert that was in the back panel of the cab bracing the cabs together with the top cab sitting on the amp. It looked very impressive and having those kind of cabs up that high and as many as they used helped give Mountain that big sound they had.

seems like a lot o' work tho-
i like what BLUECHEER does-
they chain their cabs together-
looks cool and i guess it works too.
