coliseum pa dating ?'s

so i got my studio pa and coliseum pa tuned up and outta the shop, and i was curious if there was a date on my coliseum like there was on my model t(11/9/1974 for the t). and my tech was like actually, yes, aug 14th 1964. i thought the coliseum pa didn't begin until '65? any insight on this? i'm really curious. thanks!

Check the Sunn Catalog thread. The Coliseum PA is first mentioned in 67. The dates are written on the inside of the chassis with what looks like a crayon and sometimes a 9 looks like a 4.... There are usually date codes on the pots and some other components like the big filter caps that provide evidence of when the amp was made.

where can i find the catalog thread? i tried searching and only this thread came up. i tried google and nothing. all i found was this. http://www.richbriere.com/Sunn_Shack_2.htm obvisiously, under the coliseum pa is where it says '65. when i get home i'll open her up and take some pics. i'd like to take some pix and send em up in anyway for the museum. this thing is beyond mint. looks like it was made yesterday.
