Sunn Sonaro tube question

What is the correct power tubes for the Sunn Sonaro? Mine has 6550`s but seems like I`ve read that they came with EL 34`S???

   Hi there,yes the old ones did.I've got one with EL 34's (6CA7) and the 7199 drive tube.I'm not sure if they ever came with 6550's,but someone on here will know for sure,good luck,Mel.

my buddy has one with 6550's.  his is (i think) a '68 head only.  I think most of them had EL-34's.  might have been a year thing, I'm not sure.  I don't think EL-34's fit in 6550 tube sockets so unless someone has replaced sockets, yours is one with 6550's(KT-88's)
