Ok Guys. Just got an Ampeg V4 and a Sunn 1200s (The old one of course) so the Sceptre has to go.
The head was recapped, tubed (Rubys) and gone all over before I bought it, but the guy working on it was a Fender guy and couldn't get the tremelo working.
Also there is a circut problem that causes the volume to jump up and down while playing it. I don't know what it is, but a person familar with Sunn and a sodering gun should be able to figure it out. Reverb works but is noisy when turned up past 4.
The 4x12 cab is the original staggered version and is NEAR MINT WITH THE ORIGINAL COVER. There is one rubber foot missing that has been replaced with a fender stlyle slider. There are no tears in the grill cloth or tolex. And the tolex on the back has a few scrapes, but nothing serious and really not noticeable.
I'm in Buffalo, NY but will be going to the Cincinnati guitar show on March 22nd and could drop off the head and cab on the way.
Asking 650 for all of it. Just need to make some space. Trades are welcome. I'm looking for Pre 1970 Gibson Basses and SG's or anything else vintage and interesting, don't be shy.
