I saw this aswell. I'm in Vegas & SF next mounth and I thought I might get another one...well, I think that might crash my my travelling cash. Even more importat to restart the SUNN production, Ed!

I agree that the 2000S would be a much more practical amp than the 200S for reissue; however the link you posted to the transformer set in the "What do YOU think" thread is one of the reasons that a 200S would be easier. Triode makes just about everything needed for a 200S as far as iron, and the 2000S transformers would be harder ($$$$) to obtain in quantity.
Even if the amp in this thread hits $2K, it would be difficult to build and market a clone for less than that.

i have a 2000S and a previous owner put a master volume on it!!
the amp works great but t h a t probably lowered its over all value. didnt it.(?)
how hard would it be to take it back to previous specs?

It appears that somebody got cold feet. Still a respectable $1500 with 3 days left, but the high bidder retracted their bid.
