Anything is possible, and if you are asking if it would hurt the amp, the answer is no.  Try it and see how you like the sound.

After all, what would the world be if no one decided to play guitar through a '59 Bassman?

Re: guitar thru a bass amp:
Back in my playing days, (1970's), my lead guitar setup consisted of a 200S bass amp and speaker cabinet, plus a Sentur II lead guitar speaker cabinet.  This gave me four 15" JBL speakers.  The Sunn 200S amp top lacked the treble and power for really good guitar sustain, but I usually used a fuzz tone and wah-wah pedal to get what I needed out of it.  You really would be better off with a guitar amp, but the bass amp top will work.
