Try them and see what you think, Rich. If you don't like the E's you can probably sell them and get K's for about even money.

 I'm comparing to a my Mesa 18" , which is really an EV. The Jbls's are more responsive even though the 18 does go low. The Jbl's have more excitement and really dig in. We'll see tonight because this is a play night. I can't judge until I hear it with a band.

I have to say that they sound great so I don't know if it's worth going through the sell and re-buy process

E140's are nice speakers. I have one in my 1x15 Sunnish cabinet that I had Weber recone. I think the D and K series sound sweeter, but the E's are nice, and will take more power.
