I concur. Solos II is all solid state. Mine has non-functioning tremolo, which I contacted Conrad about but I need a real tech to take a look at it. The drive circuit is not pumping the variac lamp. The rest of the circuit works, I can shine a bright penlight onto it and it reacts.
It has H-H speakers and sounds great. Louder than heck if you want but very useful for processed sound or even clean. The distortion sound is a bit dull. Its a very simple circuit.
It sure is nice to have a reliable amp that can take the punishment and all I've really done is replace the AC plug, replace a few worn knobs and installed factory wheels back on it.
