Need help to identify 2 Sunn cabinets.
« on: August 26, 2009, 03:31:36 pm »
I have 2 4x10 cabinets with amps attached. the first one says Sunn Beta Lead (Digital C-Mos Power)and the other one says Beta +. I had picked them up in a garage sale almost 10 years ago and was only using them for the speakers in them for a time. Now I was trying to find a way to identify them and get a rough estimate of their value. I can't find anything specific on the web as there is no model number on them. I was told they were meant to be used paired together. Can anyone help?

What you have is simply a Beta Lead 410 and a Beta 410P+. Each is 100 watts at 4 ohms. The 410P+ (Power plus) was used instead of an extention cabinet because the Beta 410 could not drive an additional cabinet with it's built in power amp. Those are pretty rare. Not sure of the exact years they were available but they are in the 1979 catalog.

Thank you Loudthump, that's info that I couldn't find anywhere else. Any hint on what I could ask for the pair? Both in working condition and not too roughed up.

Those are some beautiful amps. I've never seen those models before.
