beta lead and beta bass question

is there any difference between the beta lead or beta bass? is distortion the same or are they both really different?

There is a slight difference in the tone control frequencies. Since this circuitry is after the CMOS gain blocks, I would assume they sound different. There were also slight changes made to the circuits so that two Beta Lead amps might not sound the same. The serial numbers for the changes are outlined in the Beta Service Manual page 11.

ok so what i am understanding from the link the newer beta leads and beta bass will have more distortion and a slighty higher volume if i understand this right.
