FS: 1972 Sunn Studio Bass
« on: July 19, 2010, 04:55:57 pm »
Okay guys, this time I mean it. The Studio Bass has got to go. With my new-to-me 200S, I still need need to sell some things to cover for it - and make room. The Studio PA already is gone, now it's the Studio Bass' turn.

As you can see in the photos, it is in excellent condition. I recently added casters (purchased from Conrad) to make it rollable. At 55 lbs it's not terribly heavy but the casters do make life easier. You'll also see a nice padded cover custom-made by LeCover Co. in the Chicago area.

Inspection sticker dated September 8, 1972. The 4 ohm speaker is a "Sunn Bass Transducer" made by Eminence in the 35th week of 1972.  It is a lightweight alnico speaker.

I've had this since Feburary 2006 and it has seen light duty - a few outdoor gigs with my acoustic blues band.  The speaker was professionally rebuilt soon after I got it and the grill cloth also has been cleaned - it sparkles like new.

Would prefer to sell locally (or you can come get it) due to the size and weight. Considering the condition and cover, I am asking $200.

According to the 1972 catalog, the Studio Bass has 50 watts RMS and a tuned port cabinet.
