« on: February 18, 2011, 09:32:38 am »
damn I poked a hole in the edge of the cone while screwing in my speaker.

Any help?  I love the way the speaker sounded. now it sounds all crappy and distorted.

there must be a quick fix?
any help would be appreciated.

Is it a paper cone, and is all the cone material still there? Can you close up the hole with your fingers? If so, I've had good luck with good old latex cement. Just push the hole closed and put a light coating on both sides, it has worked for me anyway.

it's kind of more near the edge where the material looks more rubbery than paper

Okay, so it's not the cone, but the surround. I've still had good luck using latex on paper surrounds.
