1968 Sunn Sceptre 4x12 tall cabinet
« on: April 18, 2011, 05:16:27 pm »
I have a 1968 Sunn Sceptre 4x12 for sale. This is a 8ohm cabinet. All speakers are original and sound amazing!! One of the casters doesnt roll so well but still works, and it is missing one of the side feet. I never used it on it side so I never replaced it. The 1/4" speaker jack needs to be installed, I have a brand new one but I dont have a soldering iron so I cant install it. $325 firm.  I am located in Oakland CA and would prefer a local pick-up but I have a paypal account and I am willing to ship.

here is a link to tha craigslist ad if you want to see pics.  Thanks

If I had that cash... But then again I have no car and I can tell already that this cab is gonna be a lot harder to move in BART than my 215B was.

I don't imagine either one would be fun to move on any public transportation, but I think the Sceptre cab would be easier to move than the 215B.
It's the same size, but I'm pretty sure the Sceptre cab is lighter than the 215.

Its not light!  But than again, even a 2x12 combo is a drag to take on the bart.  If you are interested I would be willing to deliver the cab in the bay area.  That would still be easier than shipping.

I would get it in a second if it was at a driveable distance...:( would fit perfectly with the 215s! :-D

57 Classics, if you could deliver that would be awesome, but until I get cash, not really worth talking about.

There's one at Killer Vintage in St. Louis, too, really good shape with original footswitch. Asking $1,000. If interested, call them at 314-721-7795.

I stopped by there hoping to find a pristine 2000S priced to sell but saw this instead. Since it's so nice I took some photos. Have more if anyone's interested.

Are you still willing to ship this? I don't care what the shipping cost is, because I've been looking for this damn cab in PA for months to no avail.
Reading, PA would be the destination.
