Check out this bit of Sunn history...

Wonder if this was a 'hand me down' from the JHE...the cab looks like the bottom of a Coliseum PA rig with the crossover on the back---the head is too clean to be a match. If that stencil wasn't on there I would think that the price would be a little more reality based.

I think that cab is probably a 1000S and the crossover is/was for the LE100S driver. That cab originally came with 2 D130F/D15S and the LE100S, maybe somewhere along the line the cone transducers were replaced with D140Fs and the compression driver was removed.
The head is the right era for the cab, but as you mention seems cleaner. That isn't real unusual; a lot of times the heads were treated with more respect than the cabs while on tour. Those big, heavy, awkward 2000S/1500S/1200S/1000S cabs took some mighty abuse from the "help".

It's a shame that rig can't talk...

Here is a pic of my 10-10-68  1000S cabinet, missing the LE100S JBL Horn.  Notice the top speaker is offset to make room for the Horn.  The Catalog incorrectly shows a 1500S cab in the picture instead of the Offset 1000S cab.

Hmmm... I wonder what that "Buddy Miles" cab is? I'm pretty sure that the Coliseum PA cabs were 40"x24" and the cab in the ad is as wide as the 2000S head.  :?
