Broken Beta Lead
« on: February 11, 2012, 01:38:12 am »
my tech says my beta lead may have a blown IC on the preamp board.  anyone have any idea how hard it would be to find a replacement?

If it's the impossible to find (not quite, but pretty close) MC14506, there is a way to build a little two chip stack that will replace it. See post below.

This is a little module that is made from a 16 pin DIP component carrier with two chips. A socket needs to be installed on the Beta preamp PCB. This is not a job for amateurs.

Keywords: Beta Lead Bass footswitch mc14506 IC replacement
