concert preamp out power amp in - fx loop?

concert preamp out power amp in - fx loop? can I put a tube based pedal  in between the preamp out  and power amp in?

Yes, it works fine as an effects loop. However, note that it is at line level, and there is no provision for reducing that level. If the effect you're thinking of using isn't designed to work at line level, it probably won't work well for you. Also note that the typical effects loop is set up to mix the wet signal back in with the dry. Using a preamp out/power amp in has no provision for that, either.

ok now does the power amp section have to stay under a load while using pre amp out? I've heard you can ruin an amp head without connecting speakers but not sure of  this solid state..I like to try preamp out directly into a tube amp. The Melvins use sunn beta into a carvin amp I think this way. I just don't wanna ruin this nice vintage equipment before get goin.......

The transistor output stage of the Concert series doesn't need a load on it like tube outputs do. You're OK.

You might want to do some research into your effect regarding that "line level" thing Isaac is talking about though...

better check your info on Buzz from Melvins-he runs SUNN pre-amps into Carver Power amps. if he has ever used  Carvin it was an emergency situation or a promo deal.
