60s Black Grillcloth Heads??

Hi. A friend has both a 1000S and a 2000S with black grillcloth instead of the normal silver. I thought it'd been replaced but he says SUNN made some like this and they are original. CAN ANYONE CONFIRM THIS??

my 1200S head has black grill cloth over a slab of plywood

I enjoy old Sunn stuff, tube and solid state, I have a Concert Bass, Concert slave, 1200s (4X6550, dual rectifier) Concert PA, Studio PA, and an old Acoustic 360 2X15 cab but with Sunn Speakers)
