SX6350 questions
« on: May 14, 2002, 03:09:00 pm »
Hi all.
I have an old SX6350 PA head which I love to death and use gigging around campus with my band.  I bought it used from my guitar teacher back in high school for next to nothing and it still sounds great.  Anyhow, I have two questions-
First, can anyone tell me the year this amp was made, or at least what years the SX6350 was in production?  Its serial number is K 77284.

Second, three of the Graphic EQ sliders have broken off.  Does anybody know what part was used or if it's still available anywhere?

Thanks,
John

Hello:
The SX series were built in the Last year of Sunn and Continued at least for a while by Fender. The sliders you refer to were made by Jungpun (pronounced jung-poon). They were the first cheap plastic faders on the market. The early Mackie boards had similar units. The taper and value should be on the part somewhere. I don't recall the value. I will see if I can find a schematic. The OP guide is posted on this site.
