I just picked up a Sunn concert lead amp head for, well, free and I am looking for info on it but there seems to be precious little available on the web.

What kind of cab did these things come stock with? What kinds of cab/speaker arrangements is it compatible with?

 Are they any good?

Any info at all would be much appreciated...

Hello:
What kind of connector does it have? I have NOS footswitches that come with the blue 7 pin connector.

If it's too loud, you're too old.

The footswitch is the two pin variety, looks almost like RCA jacks. Do I need the footswitch in order to get the distortion to work? Will any other variety of footswitch work??

I tried bypassing the footswitch using RCA jacks and got the distortion to work but something weird happened with the volume...

I just purchased a Peavey 5150 4 x 12 cab to play the amp through, Holy Crap is it Loud!! Must have distortion though...

Sorry, Steelheadwater here...I am speaking about the amp I posted about, a 1972 Sunn Concert Lead. I want to make the distortion that comes on this solid state amp to work...

 Thanks for the help...

This amp came Stock with a 612S Cabinet which featured 6 12" speakers at 45 degree angles.

This cabinet is wired with an impedance of 6 ohms which you can tweak if (god forbid) you wanted to use it with another type of amplifier.

The Sunn Concert lead operates at a similar impedance.
