hey my new concert controller 2 amp is smoking on me, the smoke is coming from 1 of a series of little round green things that look like mini batteries on the circuit board. I/m pretty sure that part went bad, can anyone tell me what that is, or where i can get it and how to replace it?
there is about 8 of them and it is the middle one that is bad. The amp still lights up and works but that part smokes.

MAGIC SMOKE

  dang!

that's the "magic smoke" that makes all thing electrical work. when all the smoke leaks out the device will no longer operate.

it's quite possible that when the final bit of smoke leaks out, it will activate the "confetti generator" property of the green thingamabob. it's really exciting to see those go off. keep watching it.

Tube!!!  We TOLD you not to be sniffing that smoke!!  :D  :D

Your battery looking thingies sound like they might be electrolytic caps.  Since this amp is "new" to you, it is possible that the previous owner replaced them and got them in backwards.  The caps won't last very long if this is the situation.  You might want to take it in to have it serviced.

capacitors make the best "confetti generators."

if they were diodes, they would be "noise emitters." they make a "pop" one time!   if you want to generate smoke, carbon resistors are best after plain old plastic insulated wire.  8)
