Overdrive, Sunn!

I've been in the market for a guitar head for ages... I've gone through everything, searching for my ideal tone, from old Marshalls and Fenders to Mesa, Bogner, Matchless, and Orange, and now I've finally stumbled upon Sunn.
I'm driving to New York tomorrow, to go play my first Model T, after I read a few reviews.
I'm looking for a rich, singing sound. I'd like my amp to be sensitive to picking dynamics, so that I can go from a broken-up roar to a whisper just by changing my attack. I'd like a midrangey overdrive, ideally.

Will I be able to break up the T? Are there any other Sunn amps worth checking out, that could provide some gain? I'm not talking about Marshall gain... Just a really classic sound, that captures the tone of my guitar.

The thing I love about my Model T is how every note, every string cuts though. I often play it and think it's too bassy, mostly when playing power chords, but when play full bar chords or chords with open strings I realise it isn't.

PLay an A bar chord and let it ring whilst picking the stings. The chord sounds so so full yet every pick of single strings cuts though it, even the bottom strings. I use a Boss SD-1 to push it more for palm muting but if you don't palm mute it'll break up nicely

PLEASE NOTE: My T only gets to that pant wetting sound after about an hour of being on standby, but maybe I'm just picky. It's worth the wait either way!
