Beta Lead Question
« on: May 30, 2004, 08:48:00 pm »
I've been on a quest to find a sunn beta lead head. My searching has led me to an old beta lead combo (2x12). My question is: Are there any differences between the head in the combo vs. the straight up, regular head. Also, if it has no footswitch, is it easy to say, make a new one, or find another that is compatible? What do the combos list for? I hope to use the head to power a cab or two. Thanks for any useful information offered.

Hello:
Combo heads and stand alone heads are identical.

Hello:
You can build one. The schematics are on this site. I sold my last NOS pedal last year. Finding one is rare indeed.

according to the '79 catalog on this site, the beta lead uses the "beta switch III". i can only seem to find the schematic for the beta switch iv & v on this site. am i blind? i don't mean to sound lazy, but could you point me in the right direction. thanks,

Hello:
As I remember there was only the 2 pedals. They used the same 4 pin connector. One pedal was for Bass without the reverb switch the other was for the Lead with reverb.
