one of my bass coliseum heads ( with polarity switch ) "pops or thumps" when turned on. the other ( without switch ) does not.
is this norm to those produced with the switch? is this correctable?

Slade, This also happens with my coliseum (with polarity switch).                      Good question, only I don't have an answer either . It would be nice to simply fix.

My Acoustic 360 made a major thump when turned on.  Never seemed to bother anything.  It also had a polarity switch.  My Swr Workingman 300 does also, (more of a pop than a thump) but has a speaker on an off switch if you want to avoid the sound when you turn it on.  No polarity switch.  FWIW
A World without music would be WRONG!

I DON'T THINK YOU SHOULD WORRY. ALMOST EVERY AMP I'VE EVER HAD DID THAT AT POWER-UP. YOU REALLY SHOULD TURN THE VOLUME DOWN WHEN YOU POWER DOWN OR POWER UP.IT'S LIKE STARTING YOUR CAR AT 4500 RPM'S AND EXPECTING IT TO BE QUITE.
