What a classic shot! Check out Entwistle's bass--looks like a medieval executioner's axe(no surprise!) A couple of 60 watt'ers each, no monitors, no instrument mics, no bullshit! Almost like a garage band...anyone know where and when this was taken? My guess is the '67 tour which included Monterey(although in the movie they were using U.S. Vox Super Beatles). I got to see them for the first time right after "Live At Leeds" came out(Hiwattmania, of course...), but I know that earlier on they had to play some podunk high school and teen fair gigs...anybody see them at that point? I kinda prefer the mod/pop/slightly psychedelic stuff to the jumpsuit and buckskin fringe era, but it's all good.
