Sunn amp repair shops
« on: March 15, 2006, 12:04:46 am »
Hi everyone
I'm new and I just found this forum.
I've owned a used Sunn amp for over 10 years now but it hasnt worked for about 5 now.
I was wondering if anyone knew of any repair shops in the southern california area, Orange County to be exact, that I could visit and try and get my amp fixed.
ANY help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

I don't know of any Sunn specific repair shops in SoCal, but most competent amp techs should be able to handle it. Depending on which amp you have, you can find the schematic for it on this site, and armed with that, you shouldn't have a problem finding a tech.

Which amp do you have? This site lists many of them;

http://www.dangpow.com/~sunn/schematics/

If it isn't there, somebody that posts here probably has access to it.

I think I have the Studio Leads.  It's really heavy (weight) and its missing the reverb that I pulled out years ago because it didnt work well.  would like to know what kind of footswitch I'd need for it too.
