I just picked up a sunn 312...

and was wondering if there was any way to tell how old it is.  I bought it as a 60's sunn and just want to verify that.  Anyone got any suggestions?

IIRC, the 312S came out in the early to mid seventies, along with the 612S and 610S. First I saw of it was in the 1974 catalog.

If it has any original speakers left you might check the frames for a manufacturing date.

I don't remember a 3-12 option with the 60s tube amps, but I could almost swear there was one when solid states were introduced around 69-70.  But my recollection is a lot fuzzy.
