Any thoughts as to how this would sound?  I want to load the cab with some vintage drivers see as how its currently loaded with garbage ones.  let me know what you think!

also how could I wire the speakers ot get either a 4, 6, 8, or 16 ohm load?

I'd think it would sound great, but not everyone likes the sound of D120s.

You can't wire it for 4, 8 or 16 ohms without adding resistors. Three 16 ohm drivers in parallel will get you 5.3 ohms, which would be close enough to 4 or 6 as makes no real difference. Three 8 ohm drivers in parallel gives you 2.7, which is too low for most amps not rated at 2 ohms. You could also wire the top and bottom drivers in series, then put that pair in parallel with the center driver. Assuming they're 8 ohm drivers, you'd end with 5.3 again. That might work.

Now, if you could get one 16 ohm driver and two 8s, that'd be cool. Wire the two 8s in series, and put them in parallel with the 16, for a total of 8 ohms.

Yeah ya could.  "work" would be a relative term here.  The drivers in series would only receive 1/4 the power as the single driver in parallel.  The acoustic output for each of the series drivers would be down 6db from the paralleled driver which would easily be noticed.

I'd go with the 3 x 16 ohm speakers in parallel.

Yes, so would I, if I had access to three 16 ohm drivers. I think that's the best solution. The rest was just looking at all the possibilities I could think of, although the one 16, two 8s has some pretty solid theoretical backing. Even given that, I'm not sure how well it would work with the three drivers all in the same enclosure. Sub-enclosures might be necessary.
