I'd think it would sound great, but not everyone likes the sound of D120s.
You can't wire it for 4, 8 or 16 ohms without adding resistors. Three 16 ohm drivers in parallel will get you 5.3 ohms, which would be close enough to 4 or 6 as makes no real difference. Three 8 ohm drivers in parallel gives you 2.7, which is too low for most amps not rated at 2 ohms. You could also wire the top and bottom drivers in series, then put that pair in parallel with the center driver. Assuming they're 8 ohm drivers, you'd end with 5.3 again. That might work.
Now, if you could get one 16 ohm driver and two 8s, that'd be cool. Wire the two 8s in series, and put them in parallel with the 16, for a total of 8 ohms.
