I'd be interested in finding out the year of manufacture of my Sunn Beta Bass head. The serial number is: A67444. Can anyone help?

Hi All

I have a Gen1 Model-T.  I found the QC sticker when I removed the chasis from the the wooden casing.  It was on the side nearest the power transformer.

For the database...

Model: Model-T / Serial: 43089 / QC date: 5-13-74

Hmmm...  It's really too bad about the spirial notebook...

Rock ON !!

I have 2 Model T's.  The '73 is at my tech having a cap job done at this time.

My '75 (2nd Gen. ) Red Knob Model has a ser# S-02850     dated 10/20/75 on the end of the chassis

I will post the info on my '73 when I get it back from repair.

I called my tech and got the ser# on my '73 it's  36128  He had put the amp back in the cabinet while he's waiting for parts.  I'll get back to you the the date sticker.

Crazy!  I just bought a Beta Bass head and my serial number is A67466! I just bought a Beta Bass head and my serial number is A67466!

Rob, I have good news for you.

I have a very faded "Warranty Validation Sticker" which states that my warranty expires (!) on the last day of NOV 1980.  I looked at the 1979 catalog that I found on this site and it states that their warranty lasted one year from the date of purchase.  Factor in some time for shipping and sitting on a music store shelf, and I'd say our amps were made somewhere around mid-1979.
