I think...

the Sonaro was a "unitized" amp with head and speaker as one... using EL34 output tubes, 1-15" speaker, about 40 watts

The Sonado is a head (although many sunns are named for the head and speaker enclosure combination) using 6550/KT-88 output tubes, about 60 watts.

I could be wrong because neither of these would look the same to me.  And I am sure a model could have changed in later years from earlier.

This is the only Sonaro I have seen.

It is possible the model name was re-used, but I don't know this.

Probably no real difference.  Sunn used the same circuit in a number of heads with different model names.

As I said, Sunn in the early days named their amps based on a head/speaker combination.  The same head internally would have a different name because the speakers were different.

As an example, the 100s and Sceptre were the same amp head, different speakers.  The heads are only different because of the name on the front panel.

The Solarus and Sonaro are both shown in a 1970 Sunn Product Guide
as two piece amps (head and cab) with both heads rated at 80 watts
RMS (180 watts peak). The Sonaro and Sorado seem to be the same head
and are both shown in a 1971 price list as - Amp top only $370.00.
I am not sure what a Sonado is. Is it a typo?
