212LH
« on: August 14, 2006, 07:04:59 pm »
Cheers anyone!

Recently I stumbled upon some pics of 412LH cab, I understand that 212LH is practically the same design of the cab only with two speakers and of course, half the height.

What's the deal with this cabinet construction type?

I'm interested in building two 2x12" (v30's loaded) to stack them and I have no clue if this design is superior compared to the regular 2x12", and what are the soundwise pros and cons?

Also if anyone has dimensions of these cab, that would help me alot.

I understand this is no place for copycat questions, or diy, but since this is the place to ask for sunn info, I posted this question, ope I'm not violating some forum rule.

Greets from Croatia!

Hi, thanks, I hope I'll get the dimensions soon. I know the dimensions of the 412LH cab, so roughly, 212LH is just half the size of the 412 model, but still I would like to know the exact dimensions...

My friend, who is a carpenter, will be back around sept 4th, so that'll be the day I start this project, I'll keep you all informed! :)

Heh, I too had in mind having them stacked, they look awesome.

I plan to use celestion v30s, and built two 2x12" cabs and stack them the same way, only thing that bugs me is that front panel, it seems to me it was designed to spread the sound better than flat front side?

I think I'm going to use flat front side... unless someone gives me real facts about advantages between these two designs.

Heh, my friend has a concert lead, but I don't it's similiar to the one on the photo :)
