Hello:
Depending on the year of manufacture some amps came with a transformer wound for both 120 & 240 volts. This was changed towards the end of production to 120v only as a cost reduction and reflecting a drop in European sales. If the transformer has 2 black(AC) wires 2 red (AC out to rectifier) and 1 red/yellow center tap (ground) then it is a 120v only transformer (PN# 6100 stamped on copper sheild). Because I saw so few 240v transformers I cannot remember the part number for it but there would be extra wires that may or may not be conneted in series.
