i payed app. 1100 euros (app. 1400 USD) for the 1200s amp back in 1999. my amp works great, i would always pay 1100 euros again. i would compare the 1200s with the 300T, if u get a chance to get a 300T for (nearly) the same price, i would pick a 300T cos it's a bit "warmer".

p.s. the 5 string works fine with the old sorado (200S), so an old 2000s could be very intererting too.
