« on: March 01, 2007, 06:09:25 am »
Has everybody seen this?  I wanted to pull the trigger the second I saw it, but I just don't have the money right now.

24 hours now and I am starting to sweat and my hands are shaking!!

Do you believe the claim that this is New Old Stock that will come with the 5 yr. warranty  etc., etc... Is this on the up & up?

The seller seems to have a pretty good E-Bay Feedback record.

Is $1300 too much if it is indeed new, with all the bells and whistles ?

My wife is sort of on-board if I want to do it,  but I would probably have to then sell off my 2000S and the Concert Bass amp to try to recoup as much as I could.
Parting with the Concert Bass amp wouldn't kill me, but I'm not sure that I could bring myself to unload the 2000S. (and I will NEVER part with my Solarus so I didn't even mention that one).

Opinions PLEASE!!

It's black face with the red logo and red-center knobs.  I paid about $350 for it off E-Bay just late in October of 2006 (just 4 mos. ago).  I would want to recover that if possible. But I have to decide whether or not to go for this 300T  first.

I'm looking for some guidance as to what "those who know" think of this deal, but no one has chimed in with an opinion as of yet.

SAVED: So Why Do I Feel So Bad
« Reply #6 on: March 04, 2007, 06:03:48 am »
Well,  somebody saved me and snatched the 300T!  I should feel relieved that I didn't fork out $1300.  That I won't have to rid myself of my Concert Bass and 2000S!   That's a GOOD thing, right?

So why do I feel sad, depressed, disappointed, angry....all at once?

Does it have to do with some sort of withdraw from my Sunnoholism?
I know I haven't had a bad problem compared to some of you.  I mean
I've been using for 38 or so yrs., but only with a single Sunn Solarus and a Concert Bass Amp. and  I was able to kick the Concert Bass in about 1977.
So It's only in the past eight or so months that my usage has increased beyond the Solarus in adding the 2000S and starting to use the Concert Bass again.

Any thoughts?

Maybe we should create a 12 step program for Sunn addiction?

Yeah, maybe we should.  Someone saved me and bought the 300T of E-Bay before I pulled the trigger.  I mean I checked at about 8:30 PM and it was still there and went back on-line to buy it at about 11:00 PM and it was gone!!

So I was saved!!  So what did I do?   I turned around and Monday morning bid on and won  a Sunn 1200S  (the 1200 watt monster from I guess early Sunn/Fender days)  WHY?  Because I need 1200 watts to play in my living room and with my basement/garage band!!!  (Now I'll need a few "beefier" cabs)  My wife wants to have me committed now!!  LOL
