Beware of shipping heavy tube amps...the shipping companies will destroy them because they literally throw the boxes around. The burdon of shipping something safely is on you to package it in a sufficient way to withstand the abuse the shipping companies subject every package to. Double boxing, shipping tubes in a seperate package, adding hard foam to the box so the amp can't move around at all inside of it, etc., are all good practices.
As far as a tech down your way.....I have no idea who is down there. You could possibly look up Gerald Weber, though I don't know if where he is located is at all close to you, plus I hear he is having health issues lately, plus he is expensive.
I could probably do the work myself if I wasn't so busy with other things. There are three good amp techs up here locally besides me who could do the work but you would have to ship the amp to Portland Oregon. Conrad Sundholm is also up here but I don't know if he is into doing repair work.
What is wrong with the amp?
