Bias specifications for Sceptre and 2000S

Does anyone know what the Bias Specs are for a 2000s and a sceptre?
Also what is the best way to bias an amp? I see these things that plug into the tube sockets but don't know how well they work. I own the sceptre and my bassist owns the 2000S. I would like for us to be able to bias our own amps without killing ourselves. Both amps have 6550's . How much difference between the 6550's and the KT88's? Any suggestions?
