Buying an amp because of the name?
I started off 1999 when I bought one of these Sunn/Fender 1200s. A real fine amp, I liked the "Tone" in the sound. Later I realised, that Fender tried to get it over from the old Sunn amps. I got an Sorado and an 350B - shure U can call the amps vintage, but thier sound isn't really vintage. It's warm and punchy with a lot of attack if U want it. The Sunn's do always get the specific sound of your bass guitar...an Orange, Ampeg (>1980) doesn't. That's why I love my Sunn amps, even when they are f**** heavy.
