Coliseum Series Feet
« on: November 20, 2007, 07:05:47 pm »
A couple of the rubber feet on the bottom of my 1971 Sunn Coliseum Bass head broke off. They all need to be replaced. What size am I looking for here? I have seen many online, but these have a shape that none of the others seem to have. I want to make sure it will be tall enough to wrap the power cord underneath as well.

I have started to replace my worn out feet with larger feet...

I got thhem from ebay;
DESCRIPTION:
Penn Elcom F1686/25
Extra large hard rubber foot.

1" tall x 1.57" wide
0.56" diameter recess with washer for screw head
1/4" diameter screw/bolt hole
heavy duty for the most severe use
very hard black non-marking rubber

I've have to mod a few of the feet a little to fit correctly, but I think it will overall help the air intake...

It's one of those things that shouldn't decrease the value, but overall help the strain on the fan.

I've got 4 Coliseum heads... and they are all getting the upgrade.

What mods did you have to do to get them to work? I'll pick these up.

I had to shave a slight edge (very small!) into two of the corners... for clearance to screws.

The one closest to the plug needs to have a small area cut out of it.
I used a box cutter, cut a small area, checked for clearance, and then made the mods
I need for the closest fit. Be careful not to over cut.

These feet work great!

Good Luck
