Sunn Dating
« on: November 14, 2008, 09:20:41 pm »
Any way to get some sort of dating system on Sunn amps or am I unaware of what's happening? I'm sure it is on others' minds, and no, I'm not talking online hookups unless there's a guitar cable involved! Now that's kinky! Hey, are you parallel or series slanted on hookups? Both? Well, blow my speakers! Seriously though, I'd like to see more info on when this stuff was made, where, etc.

Serial numbers do not have an embedded date as some other brands. Serial numbers were assigned sequentially as amps and cabs were made in batches to fill orders. The log book was lost or destroyed. Look for a thread with a post by Don T about this. I have started a thread in the Q&A forum to attempt to collect info from catalogs of all years as a guide to when various pieces were made.
