Sunn MX 4116
« on: August 15, 2008, 08:42:22 am »
Hi guys.  I just acquired a vintage Sunn MX 4116 mixer.  I can't seem to find much information on it, like when it was built, etc.  Anybody have any information would be appreciated.  Thanks

I have no idea, but if you post a picture someone will likely be able to tell the era by it's styling.

It looks really clean, almost new in those pics. How does it work?
As far as the year, I would guess mid to late 90's. I think Fender resurrected Sunn in the late 80's and ceased production in '01 or '02. Rich Briere would be the one to ask, but he hasn't posted here in a couple of years. I think he worked for Fender during the Sunn years.

Edbass,

It really an awesome board.  I like the sound I get from it.  The person that gave it to me said he bought it from a guy that had a studio and took really good care of it.   The right meter light is the only thing that doesn't work on it.  That's one reason I was trying to find some info on it so I could fix it and maybe make some upgrades on it, besides getting new screws and stuff. Some are missing and some are a little rust.  Otherwise I'm real happy with.   Wow, mid 90's huh?  I thought it might have been early.  Thanks Edbass for your replies.  I so greatly appreciate your time and information.
