SPL 215
« on: September 30, 2008, 05:44:07 pm »
Hey all!

I recently purchased a Coliseum 300 with an SPL215 cabinet and I'd like to sell off the cab and use the loot to buy a 410H and a 115.  The 215 has a great bottom end, but the high-mids and highs are pretty much non-existant.  I'm hoping to use the Coliseum's crossover to separate the highs to the 410 and the lows to the 115.  And I might be able to lift the smaller cabinets into my truck without shredding the tolex.

The problem is, I have no idea what an SPL215 is worth.  It's is excellent shape for a 26-year old piece of sound equipment, but I guess it's so rare that there are no recent sales on eBay or Craigslist.  Has anyone out there seen one and noted what it was going for?

Any help in appraisal is appreciated...

I bought mine with the SPL speakers for $90.00. It is worth what the buyer will pay. I see them in the stores at $250.00 plus....and then learn they sold it for $100.00 just to get rid of it.
